    My Quest for Taking Better Film Photography

    What started with me simply wanted to know how to develop my own film has turned into my new obsession of wanted to take better photos. My entire life I’ve only used the auto mode on any camera. Maybe, just maybe I would put it on that running man mode for high speed shots and moving objects. That was really it. Once you start getting into film, you learn that those modes don’t exist on the film cameras. You also now have a fixed ISO setting (based on the film loaded) where-as a digital camera will auto adjust the ISO for you depending on the lighting. What I’ve learned so…

    Sunrise Over Virginia

    Left the southern command early to head to home back north. Was able to capture a some pre-dawn shots Knew it was going to be a good day for photos when this was the first thing you saw. As we went over the bay bridge the east was gold with the pre-dawn sunlight trying to make its way over the horizon while the Moon and Venus could still be seen in the distance, not yet drowned out by the sun.     My Last Paycheck

    Sometime ago the business was sold. I stayed on a year beyond my stated contract because I loved what I did. I really did not see myself leaving, but I found myself leaving the state more and more and not being able to run a company to be best of my abilities. I was willing to step down from CEO to a sales position, but that was just not going to work out either. So I announced my replacement, and stayed on until my replacement told me to just take off, he had It. So I did. It coincided with my knee surgery, so that made for an easier transition.…
