I received notification that my new package of bees should be coming in the next day or two. Most likely tomorrow, so I needed to get the hive ready for the new residents at the Brown Household.
I have the two-tone set up because on top I installed a simple feeder that I can easily remove and get at:
Sugar to water ratio needs to be 1:1 while feeding. Since my maple syrup days, I have been using mostly maple sugar or syrup instead of plain cane sugar. I’ll have to hit the store for some cane sugar and get a good dose of sugar water ready for the bees.
I took a picture of the suggested bee care guide, was raining so it got a tad wet…
So hopefully by tomorrow I’ll be the proud father of a few thousand girls!
