I’ve been spending the snow storm laden afternoon cleaning up my basement.
My basement is a certified disaster area strewn with long forgotten hobbies and good intentions.
The sad part is, I’m having too hard of a time letting go on some of the items. All of the maybe one day, or even better, the I’ll do that soon hobby.
I’m drinking mead (a honey wine) that i made and bottled 5 years ago. Quite good. Haven’t made it since. I’m having a hard time throwing out my old defunct Contour cameras. I’m not using them and the quality is passe.
Don’t get me started on the Raspberry PI projects I started but never finished. I mean, how many of these things donI own??!
It boils down to wanting to do a lot of things but not having the time to do them.
Will I have time when I retire? When my daughter leaves home for college and life? Not that I’m rushing that because I’m quite fond of her being around…
Or just recognize that you can’t do it all, all the time. Make a list of what you want to do this year, and with what you can reasonably accomplish! Then stick to that.
Now I guess I have some coffee to roast.
