The bond between a dog and their owner is a bond that rivals the love for your own child. An unspoken bond, really a one way conversation, one where somewhere in the back of your mind you hope they speak back.
I asked and you gave me everything you could. I wanted you to see one more snow fall, and you did. I wanted you to take one more swim, and you did. I wanted you to see one more birthday, and you did. I wanted you to enjoy one more time in the sun and you did. I kept asking and you kept on delivering. In the end I just couldn’t ask for more time despite wanting it. You let me know that you had given all there was to give. I will miss you.
